Data Governance Executive Council

  • The Data Governance Executive Council (Executive Council) includes the heads of the participating agencies or their designees.
  • Sets the overall mission and strategic goals of the P-20 SLDS data governance effort.
  • Secures the funding, resources, and cooperation needed to support the data governance effort.
  • Makes decisions on an “enterprise perspective” – that is, on what is best for GVI as a whole instead of merely desirable for this or that subunit.
  • Will resolve strategic data governance problems that are escalated to their level (if other levels of data governance management are unable to resolve).
  • Review status of data governance initiatives within P-20 SLDS.
  • The Governor will chair the Executive Council.
