How do I find, select, and assign digital resources to existing Modules for use by students?

  • Log-in to your Canvas Dashboard and select the applicable course.

  • Select ‘FocalpointK12’ from the Menu as shown below.

  • Select ‘Modules’ from the Menu as shown below.

  • View the list of Modules and scroll to find the one you wish to populate with a Resource(s).
  • Once you find it, click the ‘+’ sign associated with the Module as shown below.

  • To add a Resource from FPK12’s bank of digital resources, select ‘External Tool’.
  • From the list that appears, select ‘FocalPointK12 Resources’ as shown in the second image below.

  • These steps will enter you into the FPK12 bank of digital resources.
  • From here you can filter as desired, identify, and select resources to add to your Module.

  • To add a selected Resource, you will click on ‘Embed’ as shown below.

  • Now, click on ‘Add Item’ as shown below and your new Resource will appear within your Module when you are returned to the screen that follows.

  • Click on ‘Publish’ to provide the new Resource to your students.
